The name of a braggart soldier in Terence ' s Eunuch; hence, Thrăsōnĭānus, a, um, adj., Thrasonian, i. e. bragging, vainglorious, Sid. Ep. 1, 9 fin.

A friend of Hieronymus, king of Syracuse, Liv. 24, 5.
